The pharmaceutical industry is a growing market, demanding flexibility, innovation and reliability. The upgrade of our factory premises is an investment in a successful future. On an area of 5,000 square meters we have an additional 3,200 pallet slots available. Our range of chemicals comprises more than 2,500 products, all of which meet the highest quality and safety standards. This enables Pharma & Nutrition to serve as a convenient, nearly all-inclusive one-stop shopping source for our customers. Additionally the innovative building complex offers optimal conditions for the processing of pharmaceutical active ingredients and excipients in compliance with GMP. The available equipment includes e.g. hammer mill, bagging and dosing station, cone sieve and pharmaceutical blender.

The following processes can be performed with solids:

• weighing of solids
• mixing of solids
• filling (i.e. from Big Bags) and repacking of solids into containers from 5 kg up to 60 kg (smaller containers can be filled manually on request)
• sieving / classification of powders and granulate materials (particle sizes from 0.5 to 10 mm)
• milling and classification of solids (particle sizes from 200 μm to 3 mm)

The manufacturing authorisation granted under section 13 of the Arznei­mittel­gesetz (German Drug Law) permits us to manufacture pharmaceutical precursors and finished bulk products in the new cleanrooms (class C & D) in compliance with GMP. We also produce Purified Water (AP) and Water for Injection (WFI) in accordance with EP/USP. Stainless steel and plastic tanks with a usable volume of up to 5,000 litres are used to produce a range of solutions and mixtures which are then filled into a variety of container sizes. Four mixing tanks with a total capacity of 14,000 litres for GMP-compliant manufacturing of pharmaceutical solutions and mixtures are available.

• Filling station for canisters (5 to 25 kg) cleanroom class D
• Filling station for barrels and IBCs cleanroom class D
• Filling station for IBCs, barrels and small containers cleanroom class C

The CIP (Cleaning in Place) – cleaning system is used for the complete pipework in the Pharmafluid section.
